Gen 1 Raptor Electronic Steering Rack Upgrade Kit

The SVT gen1 Raptor is an awesome offroad capable vehicle. Unfortunately, the OEM power steering system can only handle street and light off-road usage. Once you start aggressively driving it or add larger diameter tires the pump falls short, starts to make noise (free supercharger noises hah!) and eventually fails. Combined with this downfall is the fact these trucks are now averaging 12+ years old and racking up the mileage. With time leaks, worn racks, and other contributing factors make this a very expensive area of our beloved trucks to fix.

It’s unfortunately become known that the sourcing of OEM or even Ford reman racks is now in the past. This has resulted in many aftermarket racks being used with often less than desired results. Meaning more leaks, possibly multiple racks needed to fix one problem, and very expensive power steering upgrades that often overpower these aftermarket, lesser quality steering racks.

With the help from our partner Pablo, we are proud to bring to you an electric power steering upgrade that allows you to have OEM quality, OEM fitment, and less power steering issues to ensure you spend more time in the dirt and less time in your garage wrenching.

This kit allows you to have fingertip assistance at the switch of your key. Utilizing an OEM ford electric power steering rack, Ford mounting hardware and OEM quality wiring. Fitment of this kit is of Ford OEM quality, all aspects retain factory location mounting of the rack and lower steering shaft. Factory Ford raptor tie rod ends fit perfectly along with factory skid shield fitment, differential housing, and all other areas of concern for fitment.

Installation is fairly simple and something you can do yourself in your garage. Wired directly to your battery will be a main harness to power the steering rack, along with a power and ground wire to be wired in for the can bus simulator included in the kit. Ground the can bus wiring on the battery or body of the truck and pass the power wire through the firewall on the passenger side. Tapping into the fuse panel for key on power is all that is required and you are ready to have the beauty of EPAS assistance at your fingertips.
